We prioritize the safety and well-being of our travelers, supporting them before, during and after their educational tour.

The Experience App

Experience App is free with all travel programs provided by Experience. The end-to-end mobile support features geofencing, real-time student tracking and group messaging. Additionally, it gives group leaders, chaperones and Tour Directors quick access to student allergies and important medical information at any time.

Dedicated Tour Director

Each program is led by a dedicated Tour Director who guides the students’ experiential learning journey. Our Tour Directors are experienced local guides, responsible for coordinating daily activities in collaboration with group leaders, chaperones and trip vendors, so each trip runs smoothly.

All Experience Tour Directors and assigned staff undergo a thorough background check, and are CPR and First Aid certified. Before departure, Tour Directors reach out to group leaders to discuss any special requests and provide additional information as needed.

24/7 On-Call Support

We’re with our travelers no matter where they are in the world. That’s why we provide a 24/7 on-call support line for both domestic and international travelers as well as their families.

All travelers are provided with a personal name card that includes our Experience support line and contact information for local emergency services.

Traveler Supervision

Along with our experienced Tour Director, we provide additional assistance, so group leaders can feel secure traveling with their students. On domestic trips, groups have one chaperone travel free for every ten students and overnight hotel security. For international tours, groups have a higher ratio of supervision of one chaperone for every six students for well-established support.

Background Checks

In order to ensure the safety of everyone on our tours, all adult travelers over the age of 22 (including chaperones, group leaders and Experience staff) are required to undergo a background check before departure.

Background checks are provided at no additional cost and must be completed three months in advance of the tour departure date. Those requiring a background check can expect an email from Sterling, our background check resource, to begin the process.

Travel Insurance

Travel and medical insurance through Experience is available to registered travelers for $5 USD per person, per day for domestic groups. For international groups, insurance is included at no additional cost.
