Our five day program to Oahu brings the extraordinary history and culture of Hawaiʻi and the Pacific to life with sightseeing tours, museum visits and activities aimed at young people to help students fully engage with the island and experience.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrival and introductory lecture at the University of Hawai’i then settle into dormitory accommodations.

Day 2:
Spend the entire day at the Bishop Museum, designated the Hawai’i State Museum of Natural and Cultural History. Enjoy a guided tour and have time to explore all of the collections on your own. Enjoy a planetarium show showcasing traditional Polynesian navigation techniques.

Day 3:
Enjoy a guided sightseeing of Oahu’s main sights including the King Kamehameha Statue, Iolani Palace and the State Capital. Later learn first hand how to paddle and steer an outrigger sailing canoe.

Day 4:
Students will participate in a service learning opportunity this morning before spending the rest of the day exploring the Polynesian Cultural Center including the spectacular Ha: Breath of Life dinner show.

Day 5:
Students will get a chance to visit the USS Arizona Memorial this morning before heading to the airport.
