Experience the latest trends in robotics, engineering and computer science with our Seattle STEAM program. Tour the headquarters and facilities of tech giants: Boeing, Microsoft and Amazon. Learn from the experts through interactive workshops and lectures that feature the basics of coding, programming, robotics and engineering. Engage in exciting opportunities in STEAM education and future opportunities, while exploring the neighborhoods and communities of Seattle.
Surrounded by mountain ranges, deep glacial lakes and year-round greenery, Seattle commands some of the most breathtaking views in the Pacific Northwest – it’s no wonder that cutting-edge companies like Amazon, Starbucks and Boeing decided to set up shop here. We invite students on a walking tour of the University of Washington for a glimpse into collegiate life. Take in the panoramic views out to the Olympic Mountains and other natural wonders from the Space Needle, while standing on the world’s first revolving glass floor. Explore the Museum of Pop Culture’s (MoPOP) current exhibits, expressing unique cultural experiences around every corner.
Discover the industry innovators of evolving technology in the greater Seattle area. We have set up a lecture at the UW campus with a Facebook engineer, who introduces students to the coding process behind this extremely popular social media service. On a walking tour of Amazon and a visit to an Amazon Go store, students get to see the future of shopping and imagine where technology will take us from here. See what emerging technology has become a reality at Microsoft’s Redmond headquarters on their Future of Tech Tour. Experience the latest in aircraft engineering on a tour of the largest building in the world by volume, Boeing Everett Factory, and watch the assembly of the 787 Dreamliner in action.
Educational experiences abound in Seattle, with so many opportunities to learn from the community and under the guidance of industry experts. Get to know the Seattle community of farmers and craftspeople at Pike Place Market on a scavenger hunt, encouraging teamwork and exploration. Engage students’ critical thinking skills in a workshop at Microsoft on coding and programming. An interactive Snapology LEGO® and Robotics, teaches students guiding principles of mechanical engineering. Imagine all that students can achieve with these experiences at their fingertips.

Experience understands there is a growing concern over the COVID-19 outbreak and travel. We are attentively monitoring the situation and following updates from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.S. Department of State.
Public health authorities are focusing on prevention efforts and actively testing anyone whose symptoms are compatible with COVID-19. It is important to note that for travel and community settings, the CDC reports a low risk of exposure for those who are in the same environment for a prolonged period of time and without close contact as someone with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19. Learn more about the CDC Exposure Risk Categories.
To alleviate any uncertainty, Experience is implementing an Upcoming and Future Travel Policy for 2020. This policy allows our programs to adjust their travel dates and plans to provide more flexibility for travelers and relieve any immediate concerns. As the situation evolves, we will remain in contact with group leaders to keep them informed and adjust any travel plans as needed. We want to assure all group leaders, parents and travelers that we will not send programs to destinations that are deemed unsafe by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) or the U.S. Department of State. The health and safety of our travelers is of the utmost importance and always a main concern on our educational tours. We will continue to stay informed and safely navigate the situation.
